腦瞳憫

Office of the Registrar

General Transfer Credit Information

腦瞳憫 generally transfers coursework that is compatible with the 腦瞳憫 curriculum, is not experiential or vocational in nature, and does not duplicate work that a student has done or might do at 腦瞳憫.

Examples of work that will not transfer to 腦瞳憫 include:

  • English grammar and composition courses
  • Pre-calculus mathematics
  • Speech and Communication classes
  • Internships

A 腦瞳憫 unit is equivalent to four semester credits or six quarter credits.  Courses will transfer as a fractional value, for example a three semester credit class will transfer to 腦瞳憫 as 0.75 unit, a four quarter credit class will transfer to 腦瞳憫 as 0.67, unit. Local public institutions, such as Portland State University and Portland Community College, operate on the quarter calendar.

Courses taken at a school outside of 腦瞳憫 will not replace 腦瞳憫 grades.  To replace a grade, the course must be retaken at 腦瞳憫.

腦瞳憫 policies about transfer credit may be found in the .

Transfer Credit for First-Year Students

Transfer credit may be granted for work which is documented on an official transcript from a regionally-accredited college or university. Courses must meet 腦瞳憫's usual transfer credit criteria (listed above). Coursework from a college or university may be applied to distribution requirements; it is up to the relevant department/committee whether such coursework may be applied to major or minor requirements. It is strongly recommended that you contact the Registrar’s Office to communicate your intended plans for bringing in dual enrollment coursework.

There will be a maximum of eight units of transfer credit applied for any combination of pre-腦瞳憫 transfer credit and/or credit by exam (AP, IB, etc).

If you are interested in receiving dual-enrollment credit and have already sent your official transcripts to 腦瞳憫, please contact Sean Murphy at seanm@reed.edu. This step should be completed as soon as possible so that coursework can be assessed prior to meeting with Registration Coaches. Please note that sending your transcript to the 腦瞳憫 Admission’s Office is not the same as sending the transcript to the 腦瞳憫 Registrar.

If sending a transcript digitally, use the 腦瞳憫 Registrar’s Email: registrar@reed.edu

If the transcript is being sent via mail, use the following address:
